While tweaking the white balance on these snowy pictures, one of the things I noticed was that either the sky was a brilliant blue and the snow a crisp white, or the completely opposite. I think it had a lot to do with whether I was shooting with the light and if the sun was behind a cloud at that moment. This picture, unfortunately, has blue snow and a white sky, but it shows the colorful layers of grass, trees, and snow.
